Brands and designers: building a collection in British wool, from a first capsule to a full onshore supply chain, for start-ups and heritage houses alike.

Universities and colleges: British wool modules and teaching partnerships for fashion and textiles students.

Farmers: finding the makers and markets who'll value their clip.

We carry the complexity so you can stay focused on what you're making: finding the right wool and breed for the handle, aesthetic and budget; working to minimum order quantities; planning around shearing seasons and mill lead times; making the right connections with spinners, dyers, knitters and weavers; and building a traceable supply chain with a provenance story to match.

A British wool module, made in partnership

[TO WRITE / SUPPLY] Storytelling — H to write: the collaboration with Istituto Marangoni, what the students made, and what it shows about working with British wool

Our collaboration with Istituto Marangoni London brought British wool into the heart of fashion education. Harriet Fletcher-Gilhuys, Textiles Researcher at Fashion Roundtable, worked closely with the MA Fashion cohort on a tailored British wool module: a series of lectures, one-to-one crits and a final showcase at The Great British Wool Revival Summit at Dumfries House.

Students worked from field to fashion, studying material sourcing, British wool literacy, garment development, trims and detailing, and storytelling through labelling, bringing provenance and traceability into every stage of design. Each student created a bespoke knitted or woven garment in a British wool of their choice, and the strongest designs were selected for the showcase at Dumfries House.

Designed as an add-on that complements an existing curriculum rather than replacing it, the module can be tailored to any university or college.
